Paisley Park Hosting Battle of The Bands for Free Studio Time and Artist Development
Compete for your stay in the house that Prince built.
In the year since the icon's death, Prince's legendary Minnesota compound, Paisley Park, has transformed into a hub for all things purple. On the one-year anniversary of his passing, a Celebration of his legacy and impact was held with a grip of former bandmates and ensembles in tow.

Now, Paisley Park is opening its doors to more than just patrons and tour-seekers, announcing that they'll hold a battle of the bands, in true seventies aughts Minneapolis style, for a chance to perform in the hallowed halls that saw some of Prince's most beloved and intimate live performances and concert films (Sign O The Times and Rave Un2 The Year 2000.)

To enter in the (aptly-titled) Musicology event, send a video link (Vimeo or Youtube) of your group to the link below. Nine finalists will be selected upon the pool's closing on July 30th and brought to Paisley Park to perform at the legendary Soundstage August 31st - September 2nd. A winner from each night will be picked for a final showdown on the September 3rd. The victor's spoils include free studio time, mentorship from members of The New Power Generation and artist development opportunities that have yet to be specified.
