Nas Says He Has a New Album Coming Soon, Calls the Wyoming Kanye Experience "Weird"

Will we get another Nas album in 2018?

Last month, Nas dropped his eighth studio album, NASIR, the rapper's first new album in more than six years.

The album was a dud. Bashed critically, and overshadowed by the JAY-Z and Beyonc collab album Everything is Love. There was also disappointment in the fact that he didn't address any of the allegations from ex-wife Kelis. (In a revealing interview, Kelis said Nas physically and mentally abused her.)

The rapper seems like he still has things to prove. Nas recently sat down with Angie Martinez during an iHeartRadio interview. During the conversation, Nas revealed that he had another album in the chamber, saying

It's another album that I already had been working on before [NASIR]...Since I did this, I gotta do something that, you know, goes in another direction a little bit. So I'm finishing up the next one.

When asked if we will have to wait long, Nas said:

No, it's not gonna be that long because half of it was already there, yeah. I did do something with Swizz, I did stuff with RZA. I'm a big Wu-Tang fan. RZA's real.

Now, this should be taken with a grain of salt. Nas is known for promising albumsand then never coming through. But who knows, maybe Nas has a chip on his shoulder.
