During the interview, Questlove told a hilarious story about DJing a party at the White House in 2016. During the party, PresidentBarack Obama went up to him to let him know he was doing a good job. Then he proceededto critique him.

Quest said Obama told him he loved the music he was playing (which was mostly old school hip-hop and jazz.) But that he was worried the kids weren't having a good time. "Look at them, they wanna have fun too!" Questlove said Obama told him.

And then, Obama made an odd song request. He asked Questlove if he had any French Montana he could play. in the podcast, Quest said:

[Obamas] coming up to me like, "Do you have French Montana?" And I'm like, "Sir, I dont have the clean versions of that." Hes like, "Were all adults here. Play it!" Im like, "Sir, Im not gonna play 'Pop that pussy, bitch, what ya twerkin wit.'"
