Hear Knxwledge Flip Video Game Scores and Musiq Soulchild Sleepers on Two New Tapes
Never one to let up, Knxwledge has added a pair of new projects to his expansive Bandcamp catalog.
Released Thursday night ahead of the streamer's Juneteenth benefit, the new tapes, VGM's.PRT_1 and Musiq PRT_2, arrived just six weeks after his last drop. On VGM, the producer presumably starts a new tape series with a collection of beats stitched together from micro-chopped video game soundtracks. The latter is a no-slouch sequel to the first volume of the producer's twisted Musiq Soulchild edits, released in July of 2019.
As a part of its pledge to social justice initiatives, Bandcamp donated its cut of all sales on June 19th (and every June 19th thereafter,) to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. In a statement, Bandcamp CEO, Ethan Diamond, announced the company had also allocated a $30,000 annual donation to "partner with organizations that fight for racial justice and create opportunities for people of color."
