Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" Has Officially Been Certified Diamond

The breakout single is the fastest song to become certified diamond by the RIAA.

Lil Nas X has been having one hell of a year, now the emerging artist's breakout single "Old Town Road" has officially reached Diamond status.

According to Billboard, the song which features Billy Ray Cyrus is the fastest in history to reach the aforementioned milestone. To reach this level, the track reached sales and streaming equivalent sales of 10,000,000 units.

In July, "Old Town Road" spent the longest time ever at the top of Billboard's Top 100 chart, it was No. 1 for 19 weeks in total. Originally dropping in 2018, the song quickly went viral due to the app TikTok. Since the single released, Lil Nas X has unveiled 7 EP, an EP which featured the hit song "Rodeo" with Cardi B.
