Five-time Grammy award winner Lalah Hathaway has announced the release date for her new album, honestly.

The album, which is lead by the uptempo jam "I Can't Wait," will be released on November 3rd. You can preorder the album now on iTunes.

With the release date announcement, Lalah also has released the album's cover. The cover, which you can see above, is simple but clever. It features Lalah as an 8-bit video game character. (It kind of reminds us ofMegaMan.)

Speaking on her upcoming album, which will be her eighth, Lalah says:

"My approach has always been to find and write great stories, which was a driving factor behind the creation of honestly. This album is a collection of entirely new and original recordings that really express where I am at this moment in time."

Lalah will do an album release party at the Highland Ballroom in New York City onNovember 13th:
