The new release featuring 18 tracks is an exploratory listen, on it, he pays tribute to cult songs like “Solo Dolo” off his debut album.

It’s been four years since Kid Cudi has unleashed a solo project, today he releases his well-crafted album Man On The Moon III: The Chosen

The album is a full-circle moment for the multi-hyphenate who is responsible for creating the crux of current rapper’s eccentric sounds that have captured millennial and Gen Z fans. Serving as the third installment in Cudi’s MOTM series, the album is a supreme listen.

Features from Pop Smoke, Skepta, Trippie Red and Phoebe Bridgers appear on MOTM III. Dot da Genius, Plain Pat, Mike Dean, Emile Haynie, and Take a Daytrip are credited as producers.

On Friday morning, the video for a standout track on the album “She Knows This” arrived. The clip features Cudi receiving some advice from Will Smith’s character in The Pursuit of Happiness

Additional staples on MOTM III include: “Tequila Shots,” “Mr. Solo Dolo III,” “Lord I Know,” “Show Out” featuring Pop Smoke and Skepta, and “Rockstar Knights” with Trippie Red.

Years ago, Cudi’s Man On The Moon granted fans a glimpse into his expansive universe.  The dedicated army of listeners have never left his side even as they’ve entered adulthood. Songs about depression, maneuvering in dark spaces, falling for women, and battling inner demons — that’s his shtick and it’s allowed him space to grow as an artist and human being. MOTM III has emotional touchpoints that are exquisite and in total, the release is an honest portrayal of Cudi.
