Dark Lane Demo Tapes debuted at number two.

The newest edition of Billboard‘s charts is out, and there’s just a bit of a surprise. Drake‘s latest releaseDark Lane Demo Tapes, debuted at number two. The project’s debut marks the first Drake release since So Far Gone that didn’t debut at the top spot.

Kenny Chesney’s Here and Now took the top spot. The album is the first country album to top the charts in nearly six months.

Analysts surmise that the project’s surprise release affected its position. He announced the project just hours before its release. He announced the project as “songs people have been asking for (some leaks and some joints from Soundcloud).” He also assured fans his sixth studio album will arrive this summer.

Dark Lane Demo Tapes earned an equivalent of 269.1 million streams. The number achieved the second-largest debut streaming week of the year. Lil Uzi Vert‘s Eternal Atake is the only project to garner more. In the first two weeks, fans streamed the album 400.4 million and 348.7 million times respectively.

Lil’ Baby‘s My Turn rounds out the chart’s Top 3. The former number one project jumped two spots after the release of its deluxe version. DaBaby‘s Blame It On Baby dropped two spots to number four. Megan Thee Stallion‘s Suga surged to number seven after the release of the “Savage” remix featuring Beyonce.
