DMX and Snoop Dogg will be the next pair to battle it out on Swizz Beatz and Timbaland's Verzuz series. The battle will take place on July 22.
DMX and Snoop's battle follows Fabolous and Jadakiss' battle against each other. Both rappers promoted the forthcoming battle on their Instagram accounts, with Snoop even sharing the following caption alongside his post: "I ain’t got no dogg in this fight ! Yes u do who u got???"
Previously, DMX said that he wanted to square off against Jay-Z in a Verzuz battle, but it looks like that isn't happening.
The Verzuz series has done well not just for Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, but for those who've participated in it, too. Recently, it was reported that artists had received significant streaming bumps after battling. Erykah Badu and Jill Scott's battle on May 9 drew the largest increase at a 217% jump. Right behind them, with a 216% increase, were Beenie Man and Bounty Killeron May 24. Babyface and Teddy Riley‘s battle raised their streaming stats by 90%. Nelly and Ludacris’ May 16 battle raised their combined streams 30%.
