Keyshia Cole, Carl Thomas and Anthony Hamilton also graced the stage.
Yesterday evening, the 2019 BET Soul Train Awards honored current soul artists and stars of the past. Hosted by Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell, winners of the evening included Summer Walker (Best New Artist) and Lizzo (Album Of The Year).
One of the most memorable moments of the show which aired live from the Orleans Hotel in Vegas was the soul cypher. Erykah Badu, a previous host of the awards show once again made an appearance on the turntables alongside Robert Glasper on the piano as Carl Thomas began the cypher. Following Thomas, Keyshia Cole, gospel singer Le’Andria Johnson and Anthony Hamilton graced the stage with their soulful voices.
The artists ended their portion of the cypher by singing together, Badu concluded the performance by adding her own flair to the performance.
