It’s finally Friday! This week kind of flew by, for others, it might’ve dragged along slowly. Either way, it’s New Music Friday and we’re here with some selects from artists we have a soft spot for like Nas, Lion Babe, Tinashe and others.
Nas surprise announced King’s Disease II not too long ago. The release which is exec produced by Hit-Boy, is modern and hearty. One particular track features a verse from Lauryn Hill that’s worth paying attention to. Tinashe also returns to release the follow-up to her last indie project Songs For You: 333.
On Friday, Lion Babe blessed us with Rainbow Child, a kaleidoscope dream injected with the sound of the ‘70s. The stunning project features appearances by Ghostface Killah and Trinidad James to name a few.
As for the hip-hop projects, there are a bunch. Queen Key unveils Your Highness 3; Sada Baby releases The Lost Tape, Young Nudy rolls out Rich Shooter; Pink Siifu drops GUMBO’!; Abstract Mindstate unleashes Dreams Still Inspire; Reaper Mook’s For The Pagne is another editor-approved selection; and Fredo Bang’s Murder Made Me also makes our list.
Keep scrolling to take a look at all the selects that we'll be taking for a spin this weekend.
