Master P partnered with New Orleans nonprofit Make Good Nola to help make wheelchairs for kids a little more fun and age-friendly. P and his team helped to design and deliver “Toddler Mobility Trainers,” a colorful, customized approach to wheelchairs for kids with disabilities.
“This actually made me say, ‘uhhh!’” P said. “I’m telling y’all! That’s what this did. I’m ready to give this to a kid.”
Make Good Nola also shared a clip and praised P for his partnership.
“It’s makes him say Ughhhhhhhhh!” they wrote in the caption. “The Ice Cream man himself joined up at the MakeGood studio to build a Toddler Mobility Trainer!!! He is an awesome dude and was so excited to see it come together. We had a blast!!!!”
P showed off some of the handiwork in an Instagram video.
“Tight whip right here!” Master P said. “And some kids are going to be real happy because this was made with love.”
Make Good Nola is a federal tax-exempt nonprofit that focuses on custom assistive technology and open-source design. The nonprofit shared its own footage of the collaboration with Master P and explained that they wanted to create mobility devices that reflect the children who use them. The project helps reimagine adaptive equipment as not only functional but also joyful and tailored to kids’ identities, bolstering self-esteem.
“This is the start of a series of celebrities and VIPs putting together these chairs for our community,” Make Good Nola said in a statement. “And to bring awareness to this project.”
Master P endorsed the partnership and said it was a “blessing to be a blessing” while also thanking local groups like Team Hope NOLA for helping “take care of our community.” In video footage shared across social media, you can see kids testing the new chairs and Master P working on finishing the chairs.
