This fall, Lalah Hathaway, the daughter of legendary singer Donny Hathaway, will be releasing her new album, Honestly, in partnership with distribution company Caroline.

Lalah has just released the first song from the upcoming album, The track is called "I Can't Wait" and it's a more upbeat and bouncy track from the singer.

Speaking about the song, Hathaway says:

I really want to express to people, since there is so much dark shit happening right now, that music is truly this train that you can hop on to transport yourself to having a good time...This song is intended to make people feel good and that is not something to be neglected in this moment.

Lalah will also be heading out on tour. She will be joining Mary J. Blige's Strength of a Womantour starting at the end of the month.
