At the age of 33 — and with 15 years under his belt — LeBron James is entering the final phase of his career. And while rival Kevin Durant is already thinking about retirement (he's recently talked about hanging it up at the age of 35) Bron has not openly talked about the end.
In fact, there's a good chance Bron will have new beginnings soon (it seems pretty clear that LeBron James will be leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer.)
But the question remains: when will he retire? We might have gotten a clue into how far ahead The King is thinking. In a new interview with Uninterrupted, LeBron talked about what would be his greatest achievement as a basketball player. He didn't mention any stat, award, or championship trophy. He talked about playing with his son LeBron James Jr., (nicknamed Bronny) who is a seventh grader and is seen as one of the best young players in the country. (He's already been offered scholarships from Duke and Kentucky.)
In the interview, LeBron said:
If I'm on the same court as my son in the NBA...That would be number one in my lifetime as an NBA player...I thought about it because my son is about to be fourteen, and he might be able to get in there a little early.
