Tupac Shakur's death in 1996 was so shocking, many people still can't believe the news. One of those people, Las Vegas-based filmmaker Rick Boss, is in the process of bringing his theory to the silver screen.
Boss believes Shakur's entourage told him about the planned hit as he arrived in Vegas. He alleges Tupac planted a body double in Suge Knight's BMW that fateful night. The plan was not only to escape potential harm, but also FBI investigation. According to Boss, Shakur then escaped to New Mexico, where he went off the grid with the help of the Navajo Nation.
"You can write a fiction story," Boss told Las Vegas ABC affiliate KTNV, "but this is not fiction. This is facts through certain people that I know."
The KTNV broadcast reports that Boss knows Snoop Dogg and other affiliates of Tupac. Additionally, the filmmaker's father allegedly knew Tupac's mother from their involvement with the Black Panther Party. However, the star of the movie, Richard Garcia, isn't convinced.
