Coachella 2026 weekend 1 was one for the books. From rock legends like Iggy Pop and David Lee Roth to present day hip-hop stars like Sexyy Red and Swae Lee, there was no shortage of star power onstage and off. The festival remains one of the biggest live events of the year, and Okayplayer picked our favorite moments thus far.
Here are the 5 Best Moments at Coachella 2025 Weekend 1.
5. Giveon brings out Kehlani and a symphony orchestra
The R&B star made it clear he knows how to make the moment. Giveon brought out none other than Kehlani for a duet. He also brought out India Bradley, the first Black female ballerina soloist at the New York ballet. And he was backed by Adam Blackstone and the Color of Noize orchestra — featuring Black women violinists. Giveon's next album, BELOVED: Act II, is dropping on May 15.
4. Tems and Wizkid join Justin Bieber onstage
The Beebz brought out a few special guests for his Coachella set, and it was a winner. Tems came out to perform their 2025 hit, "I Think You're Special," and ended the performance with a heartfelt embrace. Bieber also invited Wizkid on stage — where they gave the crowd a mesmerizing performance of the hit "Essence: Remix."
3. Karol G stands up for the Latino community
Karol G used her headlining performance for a higher purpose. Karol paused to mention that she was the first Latina woman to ever headline Coachella. But, she said, it wasn’t her own achievement — it was one she shared with her entire community.
“Before me, there were so many great Latin artists, legendary Latino artists, that gave me the opportunity to be here tonight,” she stated. “So this is not just about me. This is about my Latina community, this is about my people. And at the same time, this is for my Latinos that have been struggling in this country lately. We stand for them, I stand for my Latina community, and at the same time I am very proud because this brings out the best in us: unity, resilience, a strong spirit…
“We don’t do this because we want to take everyone out,” she concluded. We do this because we want everyone to feel welcome to our culture, to our roots, to our music. So I just want everyone to feel proud of where you come from, please.”
2. FKA Twigs pulls out all the stops
She hit the stage with voguing, sword swallowers, pole dancing and more. She began her set lying on a mattress and singing “Meta Angel;” and closed things with “Cellophane,” on the same bed. She performed for a little over an hour and delivered songs from albums Magdalene, Caprisongs and Eusexua. After having to cancel her U.S. tour last year, Twigs took the stage like she wanted to make it up to her fans.
1. The Clipse commanded the crowd
The Grammy winning brothers of Pusha T and Malice continued their 2026 victory lap after what was a red-hot 2025. They did a three-song run-through of favorites from Hell Hath No Fury; their set was mostly from last year’s award-winning Let God Sort Em Out. Push ended things by declaring definitely that the project is “still album of the year.. until we drop again.”
