50 Cent Dismisses Older Rappers: “Keep it to yourself”

50 Cent had an interesting take on an rapping past a certain age. During a recent appearance on Apple Music 1's Rap Life Review with hosts Ebro Darden and Nadeska Alexis, 50 was asked about his television and film career and whether he feels he still wants to record and release another album.

"I'm not trying to be in the way," he said. "Hip-hop culture is connected to youth culture. You are not supposed to be the hottest in nothing at 60."

While saying that he has no problem with singers getting older, 50 explained that some music is timeless. He also made it clear that his love for music remains intact. 

“I'm never going to lose that. I'm always want to do something. And those are like entries," he said. "It's me putting a little piece or tab something in there for them to hear that I still do it, that I still got it."

50 added that while he still has a wealth of unreleased material, he joked that everything isn’t worth releasing.

“If it doesn’t sell, you keep it to your muthaf**kin’ self,” he said. “Muthaf**ka tell you, 'This is a personal album. I made this for this and that.' Then why do I hear it, b**ch?”
