Drake Makes Surprise Appearance at Vybz Kartel's First-Ever Toronto Show

Drake made a surprise appearance during Vybz Kartel’s first-ever show in Toronto. The show was Sunday, Oct. 26, and fans shared numerous videos that showed the 6 God showed up to give the dancehall star some love. Drake then performed a eight-song set for the audience at a sold-out Scotiabank Arena for Vybz's first show in the city. 

After celebrating his 39th birthday in the Bahamas, Drake made the appearance at Vybz’s show. The Canadian superstar pointed to “how much time” he and so many others have spent with Kartel’s music.

“Look at all these people right here, how much we’ve spent with this man’s music right here,” Drake said. “I used to hand out flyers outside of a club called Escape just to go inside to the club and listen to your tunes. So one more time, please — as a city, as a family — make some motherf**kin' noise.”

During his surprise mini-set, Drizzy performed tracks “Which One,” “Nokia,” “Hold On We’re Going Home,” “One Dance,” “Rich Baby Daddy,” “Signs,” “Hotline Bling” and “Controlla.” The concert was presented by OVO. 

Drake and Vybz also performed together this summer, as part of Drake's three-day Wireless Festival takeover in London. Kartel also recently told the Toronto Star that he and Drake “definitely” have forthcoming music together. 

Meanwhile, Drake fans are hoping to get a release date soon for his upcoming album, ICEMAN. Former football star Johnny Manziel provided fans with a possible hint last week

"Went back to Tuscaloosa for the first time since 2012, got backdoored for a 20 ball. Hopped on a jet to South Beach and tried my best to burn the city down. Caught a flight down to the Bahamas because it’s Iceman time and the baccarat tables were calling my name. Back to South Beach for my dog's birthday, ended up at Booby Trap. Been a month for the books and we still got 9 days left," he wrote on Instagram.
