Doja Cat has been announced as Fortnite‘s designated Mother of Thorns this year. The pop rapper is serving as the face of the 2025 Fortnitemares season.
She joins a cast of new characters in the game, with other recognizable additions including Wednesday Addams of The Addams Family, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Ghostface.
Additionally, two Doja songs — “AAAHH MEN!” and “Gorgeous” — will be added as Jam Tracks. Fans can see her avatar in a trailer that also dropped Thursday. In the clip, she crashes through an attic in a haunted house while riding atop a plant-like creature–before she stares directly at the viewer with glowing red eyes and shouts, “Boo!”
Fortnitemares is the yearly Fortnite Halloween event, which often features skins, collaborations, new items and game modes. The 2025 edition officially began on Oct. 9. The event will last for just over three weeks, as it will conclude on Halloween, Oct. 31.
Fortnite has previously teamed up with musicians, creating avatars with Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Sabrina Carpenter and Billie Eilish.
Her collaboration with Fortnite comes on the heels of Doja releasing her new album, Vie, in September. In other Doja news, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced that the Grammy winner is among a list of performers and presenters who will be appearing in a tribute to the honorees at the Nov. 8 induction ceremony in Los Angeles. This year’s inductees include hip-hop stars OutKast and Salt-N-Pepa.
