Dionne Warwick, Saweetie and Mya Team Up to Address Climate Change

A new song for the upcoming animated film inspired by the plight of the LA wildfires, 'Ozi: Voice of the Forest,' takes aim at deforestation and how it impacts ecosystems.

Dionne Warwick, Saweetie and Mya are teaming up to record a new version of the Diane Warren-penned song “One Heart (Can Change The World).” Variety reports that the new track is the title song from the film, Ozi: Voice of the Forest. Both the song and film are intended to raise awareness about the dangers of climate change–with a focus on the Los Angeles wildfires of 2025.

Laura Dern, Amandla Stenberg, Donald Sutherland, Djimon Hounsou, RuPaul Charles, Dean Charles Chapman and Urzila Carlson are all among the movie’s voice cast. The film is directed by Mike Medavoy, through Leonard DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions and GCI Film; the song is produced by Grammy-winner Damon Elliott. Both Elliott and Warren lost their homes in the fires last January.

“I am honored to have produced this song, and have it support this cause, as I was personally affected by these tragic fires a year ago,” Elliott says. “I lost my home and literally everything in it. Ozi definitely tugs at my heartstring as it deals with fires caused by climate change.”

“I was inspired to write the song by watching the movie which so beautifully illustrates that Ozi and all of us, with our one heart, can truly change the world,” added Warren.

Ozi: Voice of the Forest is described as a family film focusing on the story of an orangutan who gets separated from her parents. Ozi grows up in an animal sanctuary and uses her influencer skills to save her parents and forest home from deforestation. The film aims to raise awareness around deforestation, and how it affects ecosystems and climate change.

The film has debuted overseas, Ketchup Entertainment acquired the North American distribution rights in 2024. A U.S. release date has yet to be announced. The proceeds from the sales of the music and film will be donated to International Animal Rescue and Sumatran Orangutan. The music will be released in the spring.
