Muni Long has announced that she has to pull out of Monica and Brandy's The Boys Is Mine Tour for health reasons. In an Instagram post, Long revealed that she is officially stepping away.

“As many of you know, I’ve been battling some health issues throughout The Boy Is Mine Tour,” she captioned the post. “Despite doing everything I can to push through, my doctors have made it clear that it’s not safe for me to continue with the remaining dates of the tour. I’ll truly miss seeing you all out there, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to Brandy and Monica for having me and sharing the stage with me. I can’t wait to see you all again. Stronger than ever,” Long’s caption read.

Mya was first asked to step in back in October during the Chicago leg of the tour, after Long had to miss the show due to pneumonia.

"It was such a pleasure to jump out & support my beautiful, talented sisters on Brandy and Monica’s The Boy is Mine tour last night and fill in for the incredibly talented Muni Long, who we send our prayers and best wishes to for a speedy recovery," Mya wrote on Instagram at the time.

In a statement, tour organizers thanked Long for her participation and wished her well.

“Muni has been phenomenal throughout this tour. Her voice, her presence, and her energy brought something truly unforgettable to every city we visited. We are deeply grateful for all she gave,” the statement read. “And we fully support her decision to put her health first. Please join us in sending Muni love, strength, and healing energy as she takes the time she needs to recover.”

Long previously shared that she was diagnosed with lupus, although no specific illness was cited for her leaving the tour. Over the summer, it was reported that Black Promoters Collective reached $100M in projected sales from the excited reaction to the announcement of The Boy Is Mine Tour.  While there has been no confirmation,  Mya, who has already appeared onstage during at least one tour date, has been rumored to be Long's replacement.
