In an effort to properly reboot the Man of Steel franchise, DC Films invited actors to pitch them.

Warner Bros. has already chosen Robert Pattinson to star as The Batman, but their plan for Superman is still up in the air. According to Variety reports, the studio has invited high-profile actors to pitch their vision for the franchise. One specific name mentioned was Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan.

Variety reports that Michael B. Jordan had a meeting with Warner Bros. this year and he pitched the studio on a new Superman. movie he would star in. However, Jordan wasn't ready to commit to the project due to his busy schedule and the fact that filming would likely be on hold for several years.

In the wake of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Infinity Saga, DC Films has been scrambling to gain footing.

Aquaman and Joker were the first DC films since The Dark Knight series to gross over $1 billion. The studio is now looking to flesh out one of its largest franchises.

The Superman franchise has already cast two different Supermen in the past 13 years, Brandon Routh in 2006's Superman Returns and Henry Cavill in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League. Cavill has said that he would like to continue playing Superman,  and there are rumors he could appear in the upcoming Black Adam movie.
