Will Aquaman live up to the hype?

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated Aquaman movie. The trailer was debuted at Comic-Con in San Diego on Saturday (July 20th.)

From the trailer, it's clear that the movie will be an origin story, so it will cover time before Justice League. Aquaman stars Jason Momoa and is directed by James Wan, who has shot films like Saw, The Conjuring, and Furious 7. In the lead up to the trailer, Wan said that he wanted the movie to be "more like a science fiction fantasy film than a traditional superhero movie.”

The movie also stars Nicole Kidman, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The movie comes out on December 21.
