Meek Mill Doesn't Remember What Started His Beef with Drake
In an interview with Charlamagne the God, Meek said his drug use at the time might have played a factor.
Meek Mill recently joined Charlemagne the God in the Bahamas for a one-on-one interview. The pair discussed personal growth, time in prison, and the thought process behind recent albums.
Unsurprisingly, the topic of Meek's old beef with Drake arose. Meek revealed that he can't remember what even sparked the events. "If you ask me about why I came at Drake, I don't even fucking really really really know," he said. "Everybody be saying Nicki...that wasn't the case. They always had their relationship before me... I could never let that be the one reason why I'm mad at him... I just ain't really know when I look back."
Midway through the conversation, Charlamagne asked how much blame rappers should get for their younger peers using drugs. Meek opened up about his own opioid usage. Charlamagne mentioned the recent death of Juice WRLD, and asked if Meek had ever had a health scare.
"I never had none. I never disclosed this, but I was popping 10 [Percocet] 30's a day. You walking with death. Real shit. You pop two in the morning, they gonna wear off by four...I had to make a decision with myself. You gonna be a high pill popper or you gonna be a millionaire bossed up type nigga."
