Interesting enough, season three of the show hasn’t even been greenlight by HBO. But, according to Variety, season three will eventually be confirmed. Nic Pizzolatto, the show’s creator, has been working on scripts since March. After a polarizing season two, Pizzolatto is collaborating with David Milch, the person who created shows like NYPD Blue and Deadwood.

Again, Ali is just in talks for season three. But if he does get the job, it would be a nice return to television for Ali, who starred in hit shows like House of Cards and Luke Cage.
