Jordan Peele is Set to Produce & Co-Write the ‘Candyman’ Remake

Jordan Peele is about to shock audiences again.
Jordan Peele confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday (November 27th) that he will produce the remake to the 1992 horror classic Candyman. The movie is based on the short story “The Forbidden” by Clive Barker; it’s about a killer who appears after his name is said five times.

Deadline reports that Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfield co-wrote the screenplay and that Nia DaCosta is set to direct. Nia made her directorial debut with her film Little Woods, which premiered earlier this year.
The release date is June 12th, 2020.
