Two months ago, Jay-Z announced his marijuana line, Monogram. Now the mogul has officially launched his first drop of products which features hand-rolled joints retailing at $50.
Over the course of 18 months, Jay and his team have been working to prepare the products and carefully select the strains that are out today. The drop features a four-strain line of craft, indoor-grown cannabis flower, and joints.
Cannabis strains out today include No. 88, No. 96, No. 70 and No. 01. Three strengths are available “light,” “medium” and “heavy.” Each of these strains were developed by DeAndre ‘De’ Watson, a veteran grower per Forbes. Watson is Monogram's Culture and Activation ambassador.
First in the product lineup is the “OG Handroll,” a 1.5-gram pre-rolled joint. According to Monogram, the joints “takes inspiration from the smoke experience of a premium cigar.” Due to the rolling technique, the flower burns slowly and evenly for multiple sessions. It prices out at $50.
Up next in the product range is the “Loosies Prerolls Pack” which contains 0.4g prerolls available at $40. The pack comes individually wrapped and each is filled with flower produced for a supreme smoking experience. For those who prefer flower rather than prerolls, 2g ($40) and 4g ($70) jars of “Monogram Flower” also arrived today. Each flower is “hand-selected” and “hand-finished” by experts.
“Cannabis has been around for thousands of years, yet it is still an industry whose legacy of skilled craftmanship is often overlooked,” Jay said in a statement. “I created Monogram to give cannabis the respect it deserves by showcasing the tremendous hard work, time and care that go into crafting a superior smoke we’re just getting started.”
You can purchase each product we mentioned above on Monogram's official site. Take a look at a few products below.
