Ice Cube Confirms He Lost Out On $9 Million Due to Refusing COVID-19 Vaccine

While on podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Ice Cube confirmed that he lost a $9 million deal for because refused a COVID-19 vaccine.

Ice Cube lost out on a $9 million dollar opportunity for declining the COVID-19 vaccine. While on a recent episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game with E-40 and Too Short of West Coast supergroup Mount Westmore, Cube confirmed the reports that he turned down a lucrative acting deal.

“I turned down a movie because I didn’t wanna get the muthafuckin' jab,” he shared, adding, “I turned down $9 million because I didn’t want to get the jab. Fuckin' that jab and fuck y’all for trying to make me get it. I don’t know how Hollywood feel about me right now.”

He later clarified, I didn’t turn [$9 million] down. Them muthafuckas wouldn’t give it to me because I wouldn’t get the shot. I didn’t turn it down. They just didn’t give it to me.”

In June, Cube departed comedy flick Oh Hell No – which he would've co-starred with actor and comedian Jack Black – for declining the producers' request to get vaccinated. Cube and Black previously partnered on the film in June and the Sony Pictures film was slated to begin filming in Hawaii this winter with director Kitao Sakurai. The film's production has since been delayed.

Cube was last featured in musical drama The High Note in 2020. With fourth member Snoop Dogg, Mount Westmore will release their debut album Bad MFs to DSPs on December 9.
