Aside from his passion for rapping, GZA is also a known fan of chess and science. Now, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper has a Netflix series centered on the latter.
Titled Liquid Science, the show is being described by GZA as "the curiosity of an MC about the works, studies of engineers and scientists."
As CNET notes, each episode will be geared around specific topics including climate change, virtual reality, music, or immortality.
One segment even includes marine biologist Sylvia Earle, who takes GZA out on a boat in San Francisco Bay to show him how mud and its creatures reflect the health of a marine environment.
"She had so much passion and explained things so well about marine life and the state of the ecosystem," the rapper said to CNET.
The show is made up of 11 episodes, which are all available to watch on Netflix. If you're not a Netflix subscriber you can watch the series on Red Bull TV. The trailer can be watched here via Red Bull TV.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), the group will headline Australia's Sydney Opera House on December 8 and 9. RZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, and GZA are expected to perform. Later Wu-Tang member Cappadonna will also be present for the shows.
