According to N.O.R.E., Eminem is Down to Face DMX For the Next Verzuz Battle
DMX says he's down but still wants to battle Jay-Z.
The Verzuz battle series has been the entertainment world's biggest highlight amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic. On a recent episode of his Drink Champs podcast, N.O.R.E. discussed possible matchups with Fat Joe.
DJ EFN asked Joe who he thinks Eminem would go against in a potential battle.
"DMX got the biggest hits in the world," Joe replied. "One of the greatest rappers of all time. Legendary. Iconic. Superhero. And everything I'm saying is understated. He's bigger than that. But there's something about that white boy and his fans. Nah, bro. You wanna see some crack in the internet? He's gonna crash [the internet.]"
In a previous episode of the podcast, DMX revealed he wanted to battle Jay-Z. The two had friendly battles on two separate occasions in the past.
According to N.O.R.E., Swizz Beatz recently called DMX to let him know of another potential challenger. He recounted the events as he saw it unfold with a picture on Instagram.
"This moment is so [legendary]! 3 minutes before this @therealswizzz CALLS X and says Eminem is down for that smoke," N.O.R.E. wrote. "X SAY HE CAN GET [IT] BUT I STILL WANT JAY HAHA SO CLASSIC BEHIND THE SCENES SHIT SORRY IF I WASN'T [supposed] TO SAY NOTHING...DMX VS SLIM SHADY? What y'all think? I'm riding wit the DOG!"
