Donn T Makes Her Debut as an Author in a New YA Anthology

Singer Donn T has worn many hats during her career.Now she can add published author to her resume. On Tuesday, Sourcebooks published a young adult anthology called Behind the Song.

The book is a collection of short stories and essays. Behind the Song features 14 different authors writing pieces about songs, albums, or musicians who have inspired or moved them.

One of the writers featured in the collection is Donn T, who is making her debut as an author. T, who is the older sister of Questlove, wrote a short story called Time to Soar. The story was inspired by an Amy Winehouse song called "October Song," which is about the deceased singer's pet canary.
