Brandy Jokingly Responds to Jack Harlow Snub: "I Will Murk This Dude"

After Jack Harlow appeared on Hot97 and was unable to identify Brandy by her 1998 song "Angel in Disguise," the singer-actress clapped back.

Brandy isn't playing with Jack Harlow. Last week, the Come Home the Kids Miss You rapper appeared on Hot 97 show Ebro in the Morning where the crew played 'White-ish Wednesday.' During the segment, "Angel in Disguise" from Brandy's 1998 album Never Say Never was played, but Harlow denied knowing who the singer was.

Co-hosts Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg gave hints, saying “Her brother is the reason a lot of people are famous,” and, “Her brother has an amazing sex tape.”

Taking the hint that the reference was geared toward Ray J's involvement with The Kardashians, Harlow asked, "Who is Ray J’s sister?”

“It’s Brandy,” responded host Laura Stylez.

“Brandy and Ray J are siblings? Nobody’s ever told me that in my life,” replied Harlow.

The clip went viral, with some accusing Harlow of being a "culture vulture," will others defended his unknowing of Brandy since he's a Gen Zer. On Tuesday morning, the Grammy-winning singer caught on, responding to the clip from a fan account on Twitter.

“I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing [h]is ass to sleep,” she tweeted.

It seems that the tweet was in jest, as Brandy later said that it was "all love."

With guest appearances from Drake, Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake, Harlow's sophomore album Come Home the Kids Miss You is out now. Kicking off on September 6th in Nashville, Harlow will embark on his Come Home the Kids Miss You Tour with support from City Girls.
