Megan thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch Lead 2020 BET Awards Nominees

However, Drake led the field with six total BET Awards nominations.

On Monday, BET revealed its nominees for the upcoming 2020 BET Awards. The ceremony will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the event and the 40th anniversary of the network as a whole. This time around, however, the ceremony will make its national broadcast premiere on CBS. Catch the ceremony on June 28 at 8 PM.

Drake leads the way with six total award nominations. Newcomers Roddy Ricch and Megan thee Stallion are right behind him with five nominations each. Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Lizzo, and DaBaby earned four nominations each.

Megan's nominations include the Viewer's Choice Award, Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best Collaboration, Album of the Year and Video of the Year. Roddy's nominations include Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Album of the Year, Video of the Year, Viewer's Choice Award, and Best New Artist. Roddy will square against DaniLeigh, Lil Nas X, Pop Smoke, Summer Walker, and YBN Cordae for the latter category.

Griselda Records will face off against Chloe x Halle, City Girls, EarthGang, Migos, and JACKBOYS for Best Group. Drake and Roddy will face Travis Scott, Future, Lil Baby, and DaBaby for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist.

Drake is nominated for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, and Video of the Year. Additionally, he earned two nominations in the Viewer's Choice and Best Collaboration categories. Those two spots went to his features on Chris Brown's "No Guidance" and Future's "Life is Good."
