Jadakiss has released his new album, Ignatius. The album is named after deceased Ruff Ryders A&R Ignatius “Ice Pick” Jay.

Two years after Jadakiss signed with Roc Nation, the veteran MC has released his first album under the label.

The album is called Ignatius; and it is dedicated to former Ruff Ryders A&R Ignatius “Ice Pick” Jay, who passed away in 2017 after a bout with colon cancer.

Ignatius features appearances from Pusha-T, Ty Dolla $ign, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, John Legend, and more. The album's first single is "Me," which is a breakdown of the rapper's 20-year career.

One of the standout tracks from the album is "Huntin Season," which features a verse from Pusha-T. The song is about hunting down rival rappers. However, the track dropped around the same time that up-and-coming Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke was killed. Jadakiss decided to pull back the single and delay the album out of respect for Pop.

Speaking about it on Genius' For The Record,  Jadakiss said:

Yeah, we held back to pay respect for Pop Smoke, the untimely passing and demise of Pop Smoke...We actually pulled that song back and we pulled the project back as well [by] a week. Instead of February 28, the album is gon' come out March 6. The song, the video is very artsy but it's a little crazy so, just to pay respect and shed light on that whole...you know.

Jadakiss also added that the video will be released after some of the Pop Smoke news "dies down."

Ignatius is the first solo album from Jadakiss since 2015, when he released Top 5 Dead or Alive. In between that time, Kiss dropped Friday on Elm Street with fellow New York City rapper Fabolous.
