Magestik Legend - All This Time

The Black Opera’s Magestik Legend hits a career milestone with the arrival of his self-produced album All This Time.

Uniquely designed to go against the grain, All This Time is not just another traditional Detroit hip-hop installation. This record is a vibe - it can only be captured once in a lifetime, and is the culmination of ML’s ability to craft a piece of perfect imperfection on his own terms. All This Time is Magestik Legend’s full exploration of who he is as an artist.

Nolan The Ninja - CRUD + $UD$

Detroit spitter Nolan The Ninja drops a cool fifty tracks worth of instrumental goodies with the release of his two-part beat tape entitled CRUD and $UD$.

It’s more than likely you’ve come to know Nolan The Ninja as the sharper-than-a-sword lyricist from Detroit. Not only is Nolan an MC with one of most the recognizable cadences, he’s also a producer with all types of beats on deck. Nolan’s latest release, CRUD / $UD$, are two instrumental projects loaded with vibes. With 50 cuts in total—25 on each—Nolan has compiled an extensive set of tracks showing where he came from as a producer as well as where he’s going.

DJM Trio - Cave Art Two

Keyboardist Dominic Marshall, bassist Sam Vicary, and drummer Sam Gardner elevate the instrumental on Cave Art Two with their take on tracks from J Dilla, MF DOOM, Patrice Rushen, Solange and more.

Dominic James Marshall makes his mark, at the helm and on the keys of Cave Art Two - a slate of scintillating digital sounds, spontaneously arranged, etched in wax. The project is a thoughtful and inventive response to a long tradition of musical sampling. Familiarity is a vessel through which Marshall channels a fierce artistry and selection is at the heart of what moves it. The trio build upon what makes beat music burrow into us so deeply, maxing out their offerings of giant synths, splintering chords and impactful beats to soul-shifting degrees. Marshall plunges into the uncanny valley and frolics in it, inventing a fresh path for the genre with irreverent wit and divine grace.

LONEgevity - lonelovesade

Naptown producer LONEgevity digs and expertly flips Sade’s celebrated catalog into a bunch of fresh takes on the lonelovesade instrumental album.

Nickelus F - STUCK

Nickelus F puts on for the Commonwealth of Virginia with STUCK. He applies a sharp pen to a total of fourteen blues-inflected street slappers that land somewhere on the stylistic scale between bounce and the sinister production of Brownsville Ka. The end result is a project that is dynamic and tough as nails.

Pat Van Dyke - Stereo Vision Music Library Vol. 1

Producer and multi-instrumentalist Pat Van Dyke throws back to the classic beat tape format to deliver a standup collection of instrumentals entitled Stereo Vision Music Library Vol. 1.

We're excited to announce our first release on Stereo Vision Recordings; a 13 track, 30-minute BeatTape from producer/multi-instrumentalist Pat Van Dyke. The culmination of an impromptu studio session at PVD's Jersey City studio with bassist Jordan Scannella and Keyboardist David Stolarz, this release takes the listener on a journey through sound as all classic beat tapes do.

Ohbliv - OHBLENDS II

Producer’s producer, Ohbliv, adds to his reputation for being prolific with the arrival of the lush twelve-track beat tape OHBLENDS II. The tape features flips of favorites from Lumidee, Project Pat, Puff Daddy, Ashanti, The Notorious B.I.G. and more.

Cole Hicks - May Day

Richmond MC Cole Hicks lives up to her reputation as a "cypher queen" on the twelve-track indie debut project entitled May Day.

Cole Hicks, formerly known as Lil Nikki, released her first independent album titled MAY DAY following the joint EP, Golden Chariots with Joey Gallo (Feb 2018). Known in Richmond, Va as the "queen of the cypher" for delivering mind-blowing metaphors, Cole gives us a look inside different points and experiences of her life leading to her 30th birthday. The 12 track LP is primarily produced by NameBrand & B ROCK with a guest appearance on the outro from Illmaestro.

Matt Ford - Maximus

Matt Ford follows the release of the EARDRUM produced 2017 project Dead Dayz with the new Maximus tape. Ford’s monotone growl counters melodic boom-bap production that throws back to the Dwelling EP. Alpha and omega of the supersonic, Ford easily flips the script to deliver melancholy and machismo over plodding electro-trap and ambient dance-inspired beats.
