Bloc Party's sonic transformation continues. Picking up where the last single "The Love Within" left off, positive and hopeful vibes inundate "The Good News," a song that sees lead singer Kele Okereke professing his faith in a higher power, however shaky that faith may be.
"I used to find my answers in the Gospel of St. John / But now I find them at the bottom of this shot glass," Okereke confesses before a legion of slide guitars usher in a chorus seemingly plucked from a giant revival tent.
