Fans of UK indie rockers Bloc Party have plenty to celebrate this week--the group has just announced a brand new LP, it's first since 2012's Four. While the group hasn't officially offered up a title, rumors abound that it will be dubbed Hymns, and Bloc Party themselves confirm that it's due out in early 2016. To whet our appetites, the disc's first official single, "The Love Within," has been shared with the world.
Speaking with Annie Mac, Bloc Party's frontman Kele Okereke conceptualized the new LP as "a very logical evolution of where we've been," and stressed that the record will sound like little else the group has recorded. If "The Love Within" is any indication, he's spot-on with that assessment. Listen to the new cut below and stay tuned for news of the 5th LP as it arises.
