50 Cent Issues Playful Warning to ‘Lets Rap About It’ Podcast After Fabolous’ Diss

The pod hosts dropped a retort to 50’s “squatters” comments on Christmas Day.

Uh oh, don’t look now, but 50 Cent is coming. But apparently not yet.

Jumping onto X two days after Let’s Rap About It podcast hosts (Jim Jones, Fabolous, Dave East, and Maino) dropped their retaliatory 50 Cent diss, “Squatter's Rights Freestyle,” 50 let it be known that he’s got something for the crew. Just not right now.

“Let’s toast to success, health, and prosperity,” he wrote in a post that includes an image of himself superimposed on a meme featuring Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jay Gatsby. “I’m planning my new year. When I’m done, I’ll come out to play. You know everyone who plays with me wishes they didn’t in the end 😏.”

50’s response is a more muted one compared to what folks expected. Especially after Fab threw some bars in the direction of his baby’s mother, Daphne Joy, in the “Squatter's Rights Freestyle.” Upon the track’s release, people expected a quick barrage of memes from 50, if not something more diabolical. After all, this is someone who made a whole documentary chronicling the downfall of his rival Sean “Diddy” Combs. But for now, 50 is choosing relative silence.

The whole saga began after 50 called out the pod crew for criticizing his new Netflix docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which traces Diddy’s alleged misdeeds dating back more than 30 years. From there, 50 used his Instagram account to get jokes off before leaking audio of a discussion with the apparent landlord for the space the crew uses to film the podcast, suggesting that he was looking to actually buy the spot. Pretty grimy stuff. Then, the pod crew, Fab in particular, responded with a freestyle over a medley of 50 Cent beats. Now 50’s issued a soft response. But knowing him, more is on the way.
