Days after 50 Cent dissed them for criticizing the 50-produced Diddy Netflix docuseries (Sean Combs: The Reckoning), the Let’s Rap About It podcast hosts have issued another response — this one coming straight from the booth.
Released yesterday (Dec. 25), “Squatters Rights Freestyle” is a 50 Cent diss that sees Maino, Jim Jones, Dave East and Fabolous get bars off over classic 50 instrumentals like “Back Down,” “I’ll Whip Ya Head Boy” and more for a rap sparring session that gets ugly — specifically when Fab steps to the mic.
In one part of the verse, Fab takes a jab at 50 Cent’s ex Daphne Joy, who was named in a civil suit against Diddy and accused of being a sex worker. She has denied such claims. “You know I got Power, your shorty got hot showered," he rapped. Others got bars off too, but Fab is the one that’s got X talking.
The whole matter began when 50 Cent floated the possibility of copping the Let’s Rap About It podcast’s recording space a little over a week ago. Within a couple of days, he posted audio of an alleged conversation with the landlord for the building they record in. In other words, he was being petty as always. But the pod hosts have responded with bars.
