Last week, TIME published an essay from Vic Mensa, detailing a trip he took to Palestine last summer. In the essay, he wrote about how the issues he saw over there seemed similar to racism in America.
That experience would explain Vic's just-released new video "We Could Be Free."
The video starts off powerfully: we see a pregnant woman getting attacked by police at a rally. Then we see that boy growing into an adult who is getting chased by the police. Throughout the video, we see various images of police brutality and protesters in the streets.
