Common premiered the visuals fro the track "Letter to the Free" featuring Bilal, Karriem Riggins, and Robert Glasper. The black and white visuals also feature Andra Day. The track "Letter to the Free" is featured on Common's latest album Black America Again. The project, which runs fifteen tracks long, was released on November 4th of this year. Black America Again boasts features from BJ The Chicago Kid, Tasha Cobbs, John Legend, Marsha Ambrosius and more. The visuals to "Letter to the Free" were directed and shot by Bradford Young, who is known for his work on Selma and A Most Violent Year. The song "Letter to the Free" is featured in Ava DuVernay's Netflix documentary 13th , which is about the mass incarceration of African Americans following the abolishing of slavery.
