Jeff Mills is a legendary DJ, producer, and composer. The Detroit, Michigan born musician has played a pivotal role in techno music, which was developed in Mills' hometown of Detroit in the 1980s. Mills, with "Mad" Mike Banks helped found the techno collective Underground Resistance back in the 1980s and used to go by the name The Wizard, which was abandoned in 2013. Even Eminem shouted Mills out on the track "Groundhog Day" off his album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Besides making some classic records, starting a record label, and being a prolific DJ, Mills has brought techno music to the orchestra. And now Mills is continuing to bring techno music to spaces they usually aren't included in with a performance entitled Light From The Outside World at Dublin, Ireland's Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on October 30th.
