While the world sits pretty and awaits his long overdue Kendrick Lamar collaboration album (announced on last year's "Black Friday" double release,) J. Coleis using his touring downtime to cook up some newness. In a new video, the do-it-all dynamo can be seen and heard chopping up some soupy samples, and putting his production skills on full-display as he invites his key player to layer the sonic construction with some ivory trills. This probably won't hold you over until Cole drops his next release, but it does serve as an intimate lens into his production process, likely the strongest of his many suits. Watch as J. Cole gets to work in the clip and peep his full slate of forthcoming tour dates just below the player. Now let's see if he makes good on the promise of that K Dot stream-crossing spectacular. Until then, revisit 2014 Forest Hills Drive on iTunes.
