NPR's Tiny Desk Concert returns today with a spotlight on Stones Throw's new r&b dreamweaver, Gabriel Garzón-Montano. As he continues to map the globe in support of the new album Jardin, GGM slips into solo mode with a raw and cathartic performance from behind Bob Boilen's workstation, accompanied by a lone piano. Garzón-Montano played three selections from the new album along with his Drake-amplified 2014 smash, "6 8." The vocalist grunts and moans and smothers each ivory touch with grace and butter-smoothness for almost 20 minutes straight, no pause, powering through a set that worse his nerves and vulnerability on its sleeve.
