Watch James Blake Perform a Touching Cover of Frank Ocean's "Godspeed"

As Frank Ocean continues to drop surprise transmissions, friend and frequent collaborator James Blake is out here singing his praises. Last night, as the closing number of his FORM Arcosanti set, Blake treated the audience to a touching acoustic rendition of Ocean's spirited blond(e)d standout, "Godspeed," on which his track "Always" is actually sampled. Sitting behind baby grand, Blake howls the tune's heart-crushing hook. Blake's barebones cover joins dvsn in recent recallibrators.

Last year, Blake released his surprise album, The Colour in Anything, which played host to a rare pre-Endless/blond(e)d Ocean sighting on "My Willing Heart." In turn, he contributed to Ocean's "Solo" and "Solo (Reprise,)" featuring Andre 3000.
