Watch Phony Ppl Have a Whole Lot of Fun During Their NPR 'Tiny Desk' Performance
Phony Ppl rocked the desk.
Phony Ppl, who was joined by saxophonist Braxton Cook, started out by performing "Compromise," off of their 2015 album Yesterday's Tomorrow. They then did two songs from their latest album, mō'zā-ik, — "One Man Band" and "Cookie Crumble." They finally capped off the performance by doing a stirring reduction of "Why iii Love the Moon," the standout song from mō'zā-ik.
If you loved this performance, you have to see the group live. On Saturday, Phony Ppl kicked off their two-month residency at the Blue Note Jazz Club.
