Ahead of their SXSW debut, Marcus Strickland's Twi-Life has shared a new video for "ALIVE," a off their upcoming album Nihil Novi, entirely produced by Meshell Ndegeocello. The track, no small nod to the late J Dilla, swings and sways heavy, Strickland's arrangements gusting through and vocalist Jean Baylor's lilt painting the whole thing a deep blue. The latest Twi-Life roster includes Kyle Miles, Charles Haynes, Mitch Henry, Masayuki Hirano, with contributions from Chris Dave, Robert Glasper, James Francies and Pino Palladino on the new project.
Watch the bright new clip for Marcus Strickland's "ALIVE" featuring Meshell Ndegeocello, Keyon Harrold and Jean Baylor.
