Lyor Cohen Says He Didn't Realize Kanye West Was Wearing Trump MAGA Hat In Viral Photo

Lyor Cohen recently sat down with The Breakfast Club where he talked about how he got into the music industry as well as his viral photo with Kanye West and Lucian Grainge.

The viral photo discussed is this one taken back in April, which shows West donning Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" hat alongside Cohen and Grainge.

"I didn't see the hat," Cohen responds when asked about the picture. "I was so mesmerized by being invited [to Calabasas]. You know, Kanye is a beautiful host. We walked into his gorgeous place where he does the clothing and the sneakers. I'm here having an incredible time being with him."

"So, no I didn't look at his hat at all," he adds. "I was fully immersed in the experience and I was so honored, again, to be there like 'Wow.'"

However, Cohen did receive numerous messages from his colleagues when the photo went viral.

"Everybody's blowing my shit up like, 'Bro what's going on?' And, that's when I realized what happened. It was so fascinating to see," he said.

West hasn't been in the news too much recently. However, the rapper and producer has been accused of stealing a Bay Area producer's beat and album cover for Nas' recently-released album Nasir.
