Freddie Gibbs Recreates 'Queen & Slim' in the "Scottie Beam" Video

Freddie Gibbs links up with Rick Ross on a high-stakes chase.

On Wednesday, Freddie Gibbs released the video for "Scottie Beam," the second set of visuals from his latest album Alfredo. The Alchemist-produced track features Rick Ross.

The video is a slightly-altered rehash of the 2019 film Queen & Slim. James "JMP" Pereira directed the video, while Ashly Robinson plays the leading lady alongside Gibbs. In this version of the film, after the incident with the police, the couple flees the scene in an early-1970s Chevrolet Impala convertible.

Rick Ross, on the couch at home watching coverage of the chase on the news, promptly gives Gibbs a call and offers the two a place to lay low in Miami. After kicking back with glasses of Bel Aire champagne, Gibbs and his queen are snuck out of the country on a boat, eventually ending up somewhere in Jamaica. Watch the full video below.

Last month, Gibbs dropped the video for "1985," the project's first single. Alchemist joined him on-screen for the video, which accompanied the album's official announcement. Stay tuned for further visuals from Alfredo. Freddie Gibbs has also set up an online store for official Alfredo merchandise. The store offers 17 different t-shirts and hoodies for preorder.

Jiorgi Garlyn Miller produced the video. Marcelo Peschiera served as director of photography. Jason Wool handled the video's art direction, Chaz Smedly handled the editing. Brooklyn-based studio dreambear and Tomash Kuzmytskyi of thekroot handled the post-production/VFX duties.

Alfredo is available for download on all major digital streaming platforms.
