"When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose.

Suppose most of you are generally up to speed on last night's Golden Globe happenings.La La Land set all of the records, Donald Glover andAtlanta took home a few and Tracee Ellis Rosswas the first black woman to take home a "Best Actress In A Comedy Series" in over thirty years, beating Issa Rae andInsecure(though we're sure it won't be the last time they go head-to-head.)

However, the evening's award for most overlooked and poignant moment went to Meryl Streep. The decorated actress received theCecil B. DeMille award last night, and in her nearly 6-minute-long acceptance speech, made sure to note that though Hollywood is still ivory-white-as-ever, that it's also "crawling with outsiders and foreigners," all doing exceptional work in film and the arts at-large. She made sure to note that the forthcoming Trumpocalypse was only another reason for their efforts and that of the press to remain steadfast and stubborn in providing voices for the voiceless. And in a rare appearance online or off, Frank Ocean took to his Tumblr tovoice his support for the hard-hitting oratory:
